DENTAL PROSTHESIS

FIXED PROSTHESIS

When the teeth are damaged it is necessary to restore the correct shape or prevent them from breaking with appropriate devices called crowns (the tooth is reduced and covered with a capsule that makes it aesthetically similar to a natural tooth). Currently there is a tendency to be minimally invasive using adhesive materials that allow to preserve the structure of the tooth. The prosthesis can be used to replace missing teeth (bridges) if dental implants are not indicated. It is also used to improve the aesthetics of the teeth (veneers). With prosthetic procedures, the teeth are placed on the implants inserted into the bone.

MOBILE PROSTHESIS

Removable prostheses are being used less and less to the advantage of fixed prostheses on implants. In certain situations they can be indicated and can be removed by the patient (total or partial removable prostheses)
